The Difference Between Regular Coffee and Great Tasting Instant Coffee

by Jamie Robinson | | 0 comments

egoiste great instant coffee

Let’s face it.  We live in a busy world and many of us just don’t have the time to indulge ourselves in healthy pursuits.  One thing we can do, is experience a great cup of coffee, even when we are on the move.  A high-quality, instant coffee has just arrived in the U.S. and Canada that is certain to please the most discriminating connoisseurs of coffee; just as it has been doing in Europe for years.  There is nothing better than a great cup of coffee. Tack on the healthy benefits of this elegant beverage, and you won’t believe that it’s instant.  Egoiste Café Noir Instant coffee tastes so good; it can’t be good for you.  But it is.  Read on to find out why.

1. 100% Arabica beans from Kenya

Arabica beans produce a high-quality coffee with outstanding body, and Arabic coffee from Kenya is considered by many authorities to be the finest in the world.  One reason for the coffee’s richness is the soil it grows in, which is the fertile volcanic earth of the Kenya highlands, 1400 to 2000 meters above sea level.  Kenya coffee is processed by using the wet milling method, which is more expensive, and takes longer than dry milling.  Wet milling is known for delivering superb gourmet coffee beans. Instant coffee is made by brewing coffee beans to create a concentrated coffee extract. The water is then removed from the concentrate using the freeze-drying method.  This process involves freezing the extract, cutting the segments into tiny pieces, and then drying them under vacuum conditions, which preserves the integrity, aroma, and taste of the coffee beans.

2.  No Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO)

Since the 1960s, scientists have been actively trying to modify the DNA of coffee trees.  Examples include genetically modifying trees so that the coffee produced is more soluble, or producing trees that do not ripen until they are sprayed with ethylene.  The goals of organizations trying to modify coffee trees are to increase the growing area, lower fertilizer expenses, reduce the water required, and to enhance its flavor.  Coffee beans are one of the topmost, globally traded commodities, and there are huge financial benefits for those who can grow beans faster, at lower costs, even when the consequences are not completely understood.  Egoiste Café Noir instant coffee is the real deal, and its products are labeled accordingly:  All-natural, non-GMO beans.

3.  Health Benefits of Egoiste Café Noir Instant Coffee

Coffee is known to have a wide range of health benefits.  Research studies have indicated that coffee may actually reduce:

  • Type II diabetes
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • Cardiovascular damage
  • Some cancers

Many researchers believe that the resulting health benefits from drinking coffee are caused by the numbers of antioxidants it contains, and instant coffee is packed full of them.  The results of producing Instant coffee serve to enhance antioxidant compound creation, such as phenols and flavonoids.  Instant coffee has a greater content of those antitoxins than other coffee types.  Additionally, instant coffee has been found to contain higher levels of chlorogenic acid, which has been linked to cardiovascular benefits.

4.  Great Tasting Instant Coffee

Premium instant coffee, produced from the highest quality Arabica coffee beans in the world, and roasted with years of expertise, naturally creates a fabulous tasting beverage.  Egoiste Café Noir instant coffee discovered that adding Kenya coffee beans from the lowlands, enhances the rich flavor of the coffee by adding a subtle, nutty aroma.  Do you want to settle for an ordinary cup of coffee, or do you want to feel indulged?  Just add hot water, and enjoy.

Health Benefits of Coffee

by Jamie Robinson | | 0 comments

health benefits of coffee egoiste cafe noirYour favorite brown beverage can do more than just adjust your mood, it can also address several common health issues. Continuous research is emerging to suggest that there may be several health benefits associated with drinking coffee. Your favorite cup of joe can help prevent diabetes, lower the risk of liver disease, Parkinson’s disease, liver cancer and promote a healthy heart.

Coffee and Diabetes

Studies have shown that coffee may be protective against type 2 diabetes. According to researchers at UCLA, coffee increases plasma levels of the protein sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). SHBG controls the biological activity of the body’s sex hormones (testosterone and estrogen) which play a role in the development of type 2 diabetes.

An additional study performed by the Harvard School of Public Health compiled data from three studies. Researchers found that participants who increased their coffee intake by more than one cup a day over a 4-year period had an 11% lower type 2 diabetes risk compared with people who did not change their intake.

Coffee and Parkinson’s Disease

A group of researchers in the U.S. conducted a study that explored the link between coffee consumption and Parkinson’s disease risk. The authors concluded that “higher coffee and caffeine intake is associated with a significantly lower incidence of Parkinson’s disease.” In addition, a study conducted at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI MUHC) found that caffeine in coffee may help control movement in people suffering from Parkinson’s.

Coffee and Liver Cancer

Coffee research is trending around the world and Italian researchers have made an astounding discovery finding that coffee consumption lowers the risk of liver cancer by about 40%. In fact, some of the results suggest that if you drink three cups a day, the risks are reduced by more than 50%.

The lead author of the study, Dr. Carlo La Vecchia, from Milan’s Istituto di Ricerche Famacologiche Mario Negri said, “Our research confirms past claims that coffee is good for your health and particularly the liver.”

Coffee and Liver Disease

Regular consumption of coffee is linked to a reduced risk of primary sclerosing cholantitis (PSC), a rare autoimmune disease of the bile and ducts in the liver. In addition, a study conducted at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program in California found that coffee consumption can lower the incidence of cirrhosis of the liver for alcohol drinkers by 22%. The authors of the study concluded that the results support the hypothesis that there is an ingredient in coffee that protects against cirrhosis, especially alcoholic cirrhosis.

Research also supports claims that drinking coffee is linked to a decreased liver cirrhosis death risk. Researchers suggested that drinking two or more cups of coffee every day can reduce the risk of death from liver cirrhosis by 66%.

Coffee and Heart Health

Researchers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard School of Public Health concluded drinking coffee in moderation protects against heart failure — moderation being defined as two 8-ounce servings per day. People who drank four cups on a daily basis had an 11% lower risk of heart failure, compared to those who did not.

For those who have a sincere appreciation for coffee, a few health benefits only sweeten an already full cup. Too often in life our favorite things aren’t very beneficial. It’s rewarding to know that something as simple as enjoying a delicious cup of coffee can also be saving lives.

How to Add More Joy to Your Day!

by Jamie Robinson | | 0 comments

egoiste instant coffee joy

“Joy” is not oftentimes associated with “January.” After the New Year celebrations have ended and the holiday decorations have been removed, many people feel a little empty inside. And adulthood doesn’t do much to help - it’s tax season, you think you’re fat and your car is covered in ice! Let’s step back and try to make a conscious effort to add joy to our lives. Here are a few ideas that might help:

  • Meditate, Pray or Reflect. Taking your mind OFF of autopilot can do wonders. You will feel more in control and aware of your surroundings giving you an attitude of appreciation and gratitude.
  • Serve Others. It may be a cliche but it’s still remains true - it is better to give than to receive. You won’t believe the joy you will feel when you selflessly give to someone who doesn’t have the ability to repay you.
  • Listen to Music. Doesn’t matter the genre, as long as it’s YOUR favorite. In the car, at the gym, in the living room, whenever and wherever you need a little pick me up, your favorite tunes will work every time.

It’s important to feel joyful on the regular basis. If you’re not having a good time, it’s simply not worth the effort. Our team at Egoiste is a very laid back group that loves to laugh. We enjoy what we do and we try to spread the joy every opportunity we get. Good times with great friends and delicious coffee. What more could you ask for?

What are some of your suggestions for adding more joy to your day? We’d love to hear them below or on Facebook and Twitter.
